The first practice has a Forward Bend focus

All of these practices are created in the Viniyoga tradition, which has been around for thousands of years. One thing that makes Viniyoga different from other traditions is its emphasis on the breath. Each posture begins and ends with the breath. This is called Envelope Breathing.

The forward bend movement is initiated on exhale. As you finish your forward bend movement, you want to have a little breath left over. In other words, don’t feel like your running out of breath. If you do run out of breath, move a little faster. The same thing is true on the inhale. As you inhale and return to the starting position, have a little breath remaining or move a little faster. Numbers 2, 4 and 6 are the specific Forward Bend postures in this practice.
